Las Vegas Vacation Deals

Las Vegas

Many people beleive that the glory days of free comps like meals, drinks, hotel room upgrades and other freebies are all but gone, on the contrary, great Las Vegas vacation deals still exist – they are just a little harder to find. There are still many incredible offers available, for example I recently seen an offer for 3 days/2 nights at the Sahara hotel for just $25.00!

Ok, at that price you probably wont be offered the penthouse suite! But it will be more than acceptable considering the price. I have stayed at the Sahara many times for around $15.00 a night. Don’t bother trying to call the hotel for these rates, as they will not be available. The best room rates are to be found online. It is much easier to find great deals on a web site, they have all the information, reviews and photos you
need to make your mind up and compare hotels on a like for like basis. Feedback from previous guests of the hotels is very important and most decent sites will feature such reviews. Always read all the reviews you find, don’t be put off by a single bad review as some people are just never pleased! However if you see lots of scathing reviews about the hotel accommodation, facilities or service – then walk away!

Without a doubt the best deals are to be had by considering an all in package deal with airfare and hotel combined. There are flights to Las Vegas from many city airports throughout the U.S.A so do some research and find a great deal for flights and room in one low price.

Another method of finding great deals is the worlds biggest auction site, eBay! It is possible to find packages and deals on rental cars, air fares, travel accessories, cruises and just about anything  travel related. Some of these packages will be from travel agents operating an eBay store, but some will be from consumers who for one reason or another, cannot use the package they have already booked and paid for. This is a win-win situation for all, they get to recoup some of the money they paid on their vacation, you get a dirt cheap package deal!

Remember that there still plenty of Las Vegas vacation deals online, you just need to look a little harder for them, an extra few minutes spent doing some research online could sdave you hundreds of Dollars!

Las Vegas vacations for kids

USA-Nevada-Las Vegas-(DSC_1079)

Las Vegas is renowned as an adult and gambling playground, however if you’re planning a vacation with the kids, there are plenty of attractions that are child friendly. There is a lot more to Las Vegas than just the casinos, Las Vegas is a city and a community that many people call home so obviously there are many children’s activities. Kids of all ages absolutely love Las Vegas and they will thank you for taking them on vacation.

The Buffalo Bill resort at Prin Valley is a fantastic place to take the kids. There is an arcade with 3D adventures, and great thrill rides like the turbo drop, the desperado, the frog Hopper, the cyber coaster and the log flume. This resort has plenty of activities to keep the whole family entertained and away from the casinos. You can find this resort at 31900 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Primm, Nevada 89019.

The adventure dome at Circus Circus is a huge indoor amusement park spread over five acres, so is a perfect resort for those very occasional bad weather Las Vegas days. One single admission price covers all the rides such as Sponge Bob Square Pants 4D ride, a kids favourites and the Cannon Blaster, Rim Rummer and Sling Shot rides. The adventure dorm is located at the Circus Circus Las Vegas hotel and casino complex. 2880 Las Vegas Boulevard South, P. O. Box 14967, Las Vegas, NV 89114-4967.

Another great attraction for the kids has to be the Lied Discovery Children’s Museum. Once the kids get inside they will never want to leave there are tons of hands on exhibits which I bought educational and fun, with plenty to interest adults also. These seem to run different promotions and special events every single month and always seem to have new exhibits cropping up to keep the visitors coming back for more. Kids can learn all about science here while having fun and not even realise they are learning.

The Nevada State Museum & Historical Society is a great place for kids to learn all about the history of Nevada including recent history such as the growth of the casinos, and ancient history going all the back to the age of the dinosaurs. They are both permanent and temporary exhibits including of course there aforementioned dinosaurs and much more. For those on a budget this is a great day out as the price of admission for adults is just four dollars and kids under 17 get in free. The address is 700 Twin Lakes Drive Las Vegas, Nevada 89107 Phone: (702) 486-5205.

Staying at the Casino Royale in Las Vegas

Casino Royale & Hotel

The Casino Royale is located right in the heart of the strip on Las Vegas Boulevard, in between Harrah’s and the Venetian next to a McDonalds and right across the street from the Mirage hotel. All rooms are triple AAA rated and non smoking (essential in Las Vegas if you are a non smoker as smoking in public rooms/areas is still permitted in Vegas). Rooms and suites are all finished to a high standard with a good range of standard services and amenities such as free parking, two queen size or one king sizebeds, free local calls from room telephone, free cable TV (including HBO), large flat widescreen Tv (36″), safe, hair dryer, coffee maker and refridgerator.

Rooms at the Casino Royale are great value, especially if you choose a mid-weeek break and take advantage of any offers or promotions you can find, we got a room rate of just $29 per night with full facilities!

The Casino Royale has several restaurants and bars providing a wide range of food including, the Outback Steakhouse, a Denny’s, Noble Roman’s fast food pizza, a Subway and even a Ben and Jerry’s (essential to cool down in the Vegas heat!)

The “Value” theme also extends to the bars at the Casino Royale with many drinks, including a range of beers and Margaritas costing just $1. The Casino Royale is probably the cheapest place on the srtip to drink – assuming you are not gambling and getting free comp drinks of course!

If you like peace and quiet in your room we would suggest asking for a room at the North side of the hotel (facing away from the strip) as it can get noisy, particularly at weekends as the Royale is a small hotel (by Las Vegas standards).

Don’t worry about any bad reviews you may have read online about the Casino Royale, previously the hotel was criticised for smokey rooms and shabby furnishings, but the hotel has been completely remodelled recently and all rooms have been non-smoking since then with smoking only permitted in the Casino area.
